Florida Football Weekend

I started a great weekend at Florida Atlantic University who hosted The University of Central Florida. The first half I sat in the FAU Suite with FAU athletic director Brian White and basketball coach Dusty Mays among others. They are great people and have a great facility.

The second half I spent with UCF athletic director Danny White and watched Coach Heupel and the Knights prance into another victory. The win over FAU broke the record for the most (28) games in a row reaching the 30 point mark since the 1930’s.

The 4th quarter we went down to the field, where I met a few players and caught up with a few I have come to know through our partnership. After lightning being spotted in the immediate area the game was called for the safety of the fans and the athletes.

Sunday I was at Hard Rock Stadium in the Dolphin’s Suite with Goyo Perez and his team. They are a very hospitable bunch, but we are still trying to work out the kinks for RoofClaim.com’s branding inside the stadium. I have faith in Goyo and his team, in all fairness, it was a race to get the deal done before the home opener.

In regards to the team and their performance, call it what you prefer whether it be rebuilding etc. but I believe there is a strong possibility they will not win a game this season. Performance aside they have a great fan base, and a great facility and I enjoyed getting to know the staff.

Next weekend Stanford will be coming to RoofClaim.com Field. After Stanford’s loss at the last matchup coupled with the return of K.J. Costello to the starting lineup, this team will not be taking anything lightly and pose a viable threat. That being said I am confident the UCF Knights led by Josh Heupel will be victorious.
